2017 Nissan Rogue Trims: S vs. SV vs. SL vs. Midnight Edition
The 2017 Nissan Rogue is the latest in an illustrious line of best-selling Nissan vehicles bearing this proud badge. In fact, the Rogue became the top-selling Nissan for the 2016 calendar year, thanks to its nice performance and fuel economy, plus its available room for cargo (70 cubic feet) and family (there are available 7-passenger versions), plus a low starting price. All of this has made the Rogue one of the most in-demand vehicles out there, and besides what we've already stated, we'll outline some of the many other reasons for buying or leasing this versatile wonder as we compare the four trim levels of the 2017 Nissan Rogue: S, SV, SL and Midnight Edition.
If you want the most affordable trim, the base S has room for five or as many as seven people (with the optional Family Package) to fit a growing family or a group of friends, has solid performance with 170 horsepower and all of the fuel savings you would expect from a Nissan, at 26 mpg city, 33 mpg highway. The SV trim has a step up in features, as it adds heated front seats, ups the speakers from four to six (nine are available if you prefer to upgrade), and also has optional NissanConnect with Navigation to make it easier to find your destination.

The top-line SL trim has the largest number of features, as it also adds Intelligent Cruise Control and High Beam Assist Headlights for safety, comes with a robust technology package with a standard nine-speaker Bose audio system and a 7-inch touchscreen, plus standard navigation, and more. In addition, the seat trim is leather in the Rogue SL, for added comfort. The Midnight Edition trim level is brand-new for the Rogue and doesn’t have the same level of audio and tech features as the SL trim, but it does come with custom black alloy wheels, black roof rails and crossbars, and black heated outside mirrors, for a stylish and mysterious SUV.
To show you what value comes standard in the Rogue, all four trim options of the 2017 Nissan Rogue come with:
- 26 mpg city, 33 mpg highway.
- 70 cubic feet for cargo.
- Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard, but all-wheel drive (AWD) versions available in all trim levels.
